"Fit Together" is always greyed-out for me. I have tried it with one or two objects selected. I noticed that the Online User's Guide completely omits the subject, yet there it sits taunting me in my menu. I am able to Fit Upward, Downward, North, South, East, and West, but not Together which is strangely separated from those six by a dividing line in the menu (see pic).
Does anyone know what's going on? I run the latest version of DesignWorkshop Classic for Windows.

The command is always greyed out because Fit, Together is a feature which is not yet implemented and has been planned for a future version of DesignWorkshop.
The other Fit commands are functional and can be used to fit one object to another. Depending upon what you're after, these will probably do all you need.

Thanks you for your quick reply. That explains a lot.
If the purpose of Fit-Together is to move the faces of two objects together (without moving the objects themselves) then that can be accomplished by fitting one face against a box between the objects, deleting that box, and then fitting the other face against that face just moved. Hope that makes sense.
On a side note, I hope your reply was meant to imply that DW is indeed in development. |
