In OSX Finder, when viewing in column view, some of my PowerCADD files (mostly older ones), show a preview of the document in the Preview column, others just show up as a large PowerCADD document icon.
I'd rather have all the PowerCADD documents show a preview of the document in the Preview column...is there a way to change this behavior? What am I missing?
PowerCADD 6.1.1, OS 10.3.4 |

Matt, could the preview possibly have anything to do with network saving being slower than someone in your office desired Ç (question mark since the computer wants to be contrary)

| It could, Bill, but it seems much more related to files saved from PowerCADD 2000 then to network saves -- all our files are kept on a single server, and there isn't a place (is there?) where we set PowerCADD to NOT create a preview when network saving. I even looked in the manual for this subject but couldn't find anything in the index I thought was relevant... |

Matt,
It doesn't appear to be related to the version of PowerCADD but rather the operating system.
I just did a little test with PowerCADD 6.1.1 in OS 9 and 10.
If you save a file when PowerCADD is running in OS 9.2.2 the file is blessed with a preview but it appears it is not when PowerCADD is running in OS 10.3.4.
I've just checked several PowerCADD files and those created in OS9 all have previews while none of those created in OSX do. |

I just checked many of my files both created from OS9 and X and with every drawing I click on, a preview of the drawing is there. And it doesn't seem to matter if they are networked drawings or drawings right on my desktop...
Of course it could be OS related... I am running PC6.1(build DD14) on OS X 10.3.3 |

I checked as well, and none of the dozen or so files I clicked have previews.
I'm using all the latest from Apple and ES.

Just some more info.
In OSX, if I export a drawing as a photoshop, jpeg or tiff file then a preview is created but not when the file is saved in PowerCADD format. |
