I faced the same problem in architecture college studies, at entry level. Nobody will tell you how to build a model, what materials to use etc. They expect you to just know it. Even fellow students are reticent to help.
Just get a nice exacto blade, some plexi-glass, foam core board, white rag paper or similar, and start cutting. Make sure you hold metal ruler firm in place and apply proper pressure to knife. Experimenting makes perfect. Can striate board for effects and cutting out windows square can do by punching guide pin holes at corners - so both sides come out even. Form core board tends to go through the blades quickly, so make sure use disposible blades and smaller Exacto knife also. This, for starters. |
