Engineered Software is saying that PCAD 6 is not compatible with OSX 10.5. What problems are people experiencing? I need to upgrade several machines to OSX 10.5, but I'm not ready just yet to jump everyone to PCAD 8.

Thanks,
Dennis

you could see a wide range of issues from random crashes to loss of data as as a result. I'd recommend budgeting the cost of all software upgrades (not just PowerCADD or OSX leopard) when doing the total upgrade budgets.

The functionality of the DWG translator may just be worth the upgrade in itself. I just upgraded from Version 6 to 8. That being said, however, I used V6 for many months after upgrading to 10.5 and I never had any problem. It could be that I was just lucky, so I can't speak to what experience you may have. I would suggest you upgrade just one machine and see how PC6 does for you in Leopard.

I see line weight issues with dimensions and notes. 10.5 does not recognize some fonts. Huc could provide better insight into that issue.

I have PC 8 and need to load it on the Macbook Pro. Maybe this weekend.

I have been running PD 6 with 10.5 daily for months an have had no problems that we didn't have under 10.4.11, if anything less. Seems to be about the same speed and response as before.
