I have upgraded to Ver 6, running OS 9.2. Several things:
First, the program has slowed considerably from Ver 2000. I have had to learn to slow my mouse clicks, find new ways of doing things because fo this.
As a preface, let me say that I try not to draw anything, but copy and paste, offset, etc. This makes it much easier to maintain the correct layers, and keeps me from repeating work.
In Ver 2000, when I used the Mirror tool, I was usually (not always) prompted with the dialog box where I could specify whether to copy items or not. Now, it doesn't come up at all.
Handles that used to be obvious on selected lines or objects now are not so. Handles for groups and text boxes do not even show at all.
In Ver 2000, hanldes appeared on BOTH ends of a line. This made it very easy to "stretch" the length of the line by simply grabbing it. Now, the handle only appears at ONE end, and I can no longer "stretch" from both ends. Also, I can no longer "stretch" a text box (to make the text appear all in one line, for example).
I'm sure that as I continue to use Ver 6, I will have more laments.

If I were you I would check some the preferences such as quick handles. My text boxes and groups have handles.
Regarding the speed. I have an old imac G3 400 at home and I loaded PCadd 6 on it under 9.2 and it was S...L...O...W. But last week I upgraded my OS to 10.2 and PCadd 6 speeded up quite nicely. I was sceptical at first about running OSX on a 400-G3 (256ram) but it is doing good. |

Press Option when choosing the Edit Menu. You'll see three dots behind the Mirror... menu item to set the menu item's behavior. This is fundamentally the same as before - with the exception of the OS X interface change where the Option Key must be pressed to see the additional 'dots' (in previous OS9 and earlier versions two dots appeared next to all menu items with optional settings).

That is still the case. You may need to adjust your display preferences. Check PowerCADD > Preferences and look at the various options there for Highlight Selection Color and Hollow Line Handles. As discussed in a different post, also check Quartz display setting options and which version of PCD6 and OS X you're running.
The problem will be specific to your version of PCadd, the Mac OS and/or a particular preference setting. Just which one or combination thereof will need to be sorted out at your end. The manual does a pretty good job of describing the various new preference options which might be helpful as an overview of where or what to look for.
Hope that helps.
