Does anyone know if there is a way to Rename sheets? I know I can delete and recreate them but it would be easier if renaming was possible.
Thanks,

I would second the idea of a "Rename Sheet" option... _________________ Phil Loheed |

| you can also set your drawing in a sheet configuration, create a new sheet with the name you want and delete the old one... |

I liked the idea someone sketched up for us recently that showed a layer interface similar to iTunes/iPhoto/Address Book where the sheets were listed on one side and you could drag layers into them / rearrange their order, etc.
I think it was also suggested that sheets be "nestable" - I'm not sure how these two ideas would interact or conflict, but perhaps the nesting would be part of the "library" (overall) view for ease in navigating huge numbers of layers, and you could drag either a single layer or a group of layers together into a sheet. |

Thanks Matt, that's what I already did. Brian is usually right on these things so I acted.
My sheets were labeled "Figure 1. blah blah", Figure 2. Blah blah", etc and all I wanted to change were the figure numbers. It would have been nice to have a rename option. Less typing!
Now all I need is for the title of the drawing window to change to the Sheet Name rather than the Layer Name. Then when I print to PDF, the file names would match automatically. |

Double Bonus points for this idea, I think. |
