Hi everyone, first of all plz if anyone reads this and can assist me plz do, myself and many others i'm sure would be grateful.

I need to present my designs in a computer format, by presenting autocad plans TO SCALE,elevations and some 3D models and maybe some photomontages.

I wanted to know how can i have one presentable file with all of the above, can i do this with any of Adobe's software of AutoCAD itself, or is there some other program i don't know of?

I have attached here an example of someone else who's done it, i would love to know how.

Thank you,

Seif

Well several ways to do this...sure you could do it in AutoCAD but probably not the best way. I mean you can add images (jpegs and such) to you drawings. No problem there. You could also print you CAD files out to scale in say PDF files and assemble them in Illustrator and add you images in that way while also giving you some options with adding text and notes. If you have time maybe try it both ways and see which is easier and has the better output. Good luck Smile

I agree that doing the whole presentation using autocad is not a good idea.

But how am i supposed to "print you CAD files out to scale in say PDF files and assemble them in Illustrator" ?

With either the full version of Acrobat or one of the free ones (Cute PDF comes to mind). Once you make a PDf of your file you can insert that PDF into an Illustrator page. Printing out of AutoCAD to scale is no different if you are printing out to a printer or to a file. No difference at all except for the destination of the print. Typo above, I should have said "print your CAD" instead of "you" Embarassed
