I'm wondering if any of you are having the same problems. I've been having trouble saving my Powercadd files into DWG. PowerCADD quits midway through the saving procedure. It just doesn't make sense that I have been able to convert some PowerCADD files, but that is if the PowerCADD files does not have a lot of drawing content/layers/sheets.

I have Powercadd 7. Please let me know if this can be resolved. Thanks

Are you finding anything in common with the files you are having trouble with? You say it doesn't make sense, but you then seem to indicate that more complex files don't work as well. I don't know if this could be a memory issue.

Try this. Make a totally new file of the same data. I found that there was something wrong with one layer of my stationery, no matter what was on that layer. So every file that included that layer would not translate properly. I had to move the objects into a fresh file (not a stationery file).

run cleanup drawing

then, as peter says, make a new file, select your objects, then paste special w/ thru layers on.

I just did what Jason and Peter suggested and it did not work

I think its not a layer issue. It has to be something in my drawing that is corrupted. It might be a hatch/fill issue.

Any more suggestions

I just solved it. My Powercadd files that were big just took too much memory. I just went to another computer with more RAM, and it just saved the DWG files faster.
