Yes there are a lot of choices depending on your application.
3ds Max
Maya
Rhino
are some Godfathers of 3D animation videos.... let me know what is your purpose.

What do you mean exactly by making a video?
Poser is mainly for generating characters and their movements....
Are you talking about 3D animation ?
