So I got my edit window problem fixed - but since upgrading to 7 I am experiencing a total loss of the "undo/redo" functions. Searching the forum I found several queries about this, most recently:

http://www.designcommunity.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19739&highlight=undo

but no solutions. This is really affecting my workflow. Any ideas? Oh yeah: I just upgraded to 7.06 today, disabled spaces, clicked Finder then 7 to bring the window to the front: no results. Running 10.5.2 on a G5 PPC.

Thanks,

Pauldowns,

I think everyone has had this problem. For me, it most often occurs when I have multiple files open in PowerCAD. It seems to be linked to the auto-save function... being that when one of the file windows in the background (one of the ones I'm not currently working in) pops up with the save dialogue window, I lose my undo's. A PowerCAD quit and re-start usually restores the undo's until such time as it happens again.

Not much of a fix, but it's all I've got.

Sorry. Forgot another cause....

It would seem that if you attempt a Cloverleaf+Z (undo) while the text cursor is selected, the undo's will no longer function. Same remedy as before, though: Restart Powercad

Pauldowns,

Never heard of a fix for this from anyone that matters. If you do find out a fix could you post it here?

Napolean: you provided the best fix, as since I stopped hitting command-Z with a text box open the problem has stopped. There may be other triggers as well, but that is something that I used to do successfully in 6. I just had to unlearn that habit. And no, no answers from anyone else. But thanks for your tip.
