It has been a while since I have done this, but you used to be able to open up the PowerCADD Key Commands file in Library>Preferences>PowerCADD folder, and you would get a text file with a tabbed list of all the command you have set (This is described in the manual.)

With PC7 however it is a file that I cannot open directly with Word 2004 or 2008, though after trying several translations (using MacLink Translators) I can open up a text file, however it has a lot of numbers associated with the commands which don't mean much to me. They are perhaps Unicode or ASCII numbers for keys, though I haven't spent the time checking them.

Is there another way of easily obtaining a list of the custom commands you have set in PC which I am not aware of?

I can open the "PowerCADD Key Defaults" file, to see my commands, by double clicking which opens Text Edit, or in Word 08 as a Unicode Text format file.

You are opening the wrong file.

Chapter 1, Page 6 of the good book of PowerCADD 7 and 8 clearly describes the specifics. The file PowerCADD Key Defaults can be opened in any application -- e.g. TextEdit will do the job.

Also Chapter 4, page 22 of the PCD8 and Chapter 4 page 29 of the PCD7 manual (PDF or printed)

I hope that helps

Ah yes, PowerCADD Key Defaults works. I was distracted by the version number.

Now that I have both PC7 and PC8 running, there does not seem to be a distinction between the Key Default file for the 2 versions. Which version does this file refer to if you start to make changes to the commands in one version?
