This is about problems with PC-7

I have noticed that a rectangle showing the edit box as one dimension scale with the dimension tool and area tool as a different dimension.

Is this a problem others have encountered. The error is not in both directions or constant with all objects drawn. I have drawn a site plan with a building as a rectangle 50 x 70 feet. That is what is indicated in the edit box when I drew it or select it latter. However no mater how I dimension it comes off as being 50-0 x 69-10 with an area that is not 3,500 sq. ft. If I use the move points tool to make it 2" longer the dimension and area come out correctly, but the edit box says it is now 70-2 long.

How can the program give two different results for the same object. I know it's just clever but with such cleverness I start to think the program is not all that it is cracked up to be.
