Hi i am an architecture student of Covenant University Nigeria and am preparing for my msc thesis. I am faced the dilema of either the design of an exhibition pavilion or an ultra modern five star hotel.

Both project are of importance to me and i will like to choose the most tasking of the two.

i will need ur advice on which of the two would be preferable and where i can find any relevant case study on this project.

your help is really needed. tnks

Ok, so let's say that both are "important" to you, and that you know more about the concepts, pragmatics and generalities of each that what you're letting on in terms of what I understand from your post.

Lets help you make a decision, which, to my understanding is the first step. After this, you probably don't need much help, unless of course you are looking for drawings or a previous project, which would be somewhat of a shortcut to your own cognitive efforts.

Don't look at one as more difficult than the other, just to prove something. You'll need to humble yourself very quickly as an architect or it's a lonely room. Each project will surely present its own collection of challenges for you, so pick one and go with it. You will make the project, don't count on it to make you! You've reached thesis level, im a bit surprised you havent realized this thus far. At any rate.

Why are they important to you? What is an ultra modern five start hotel? A common misunderstanding in architectural semantics is the use of the word modern. Maybe you should look this term up first, then define your goals for a new hotel.

Given this is a thesis project, it's best to have a strong feeling about something. In thesis, you are asking a question, which, hopefully through the course of your work, will be addressed, if not answered. But don't worry if it's not completely illustrated. I feel you are looking for a superficial escape from actually having to feel something personal to both of these programs of 'importance' to you. Choose one, go with it, then make it an important project through the course of actually doing it. If you want images, you can search on google. I suggest thinking hard about this, and take your thesis seriously. What matters is the efforts you put into your work, whether it's an IT park, space station, even ultra modern hotels, or whether you paint them blue or not, and that is what you will reward yourself. It feels good getting through a project, whether we are doing our dream house or not. Obtain that impression of feeling good through the process. good luck. ac
