Now more and more 6mm thick laminate flooring(L) appears at market. The thickness of L is mainly up to the thickness of its core, the support material. Compared with 8mm thick L, 6mm thick L is easy to be bent and hard to work with 297mm width due to the thickness. Also its foot feel is not good as 8mm thick L, not to mention 12mm thick L. Also the locking system of 6mm thick L should be checked carefully before installation as it is possible that the locking system will be damaged if the manufacture process for the locking system is not correct because this type of L is very thin. But the price 6mm thick laminate flooring is also cheaper due to the less material. Also the transportation cost is less because the same space can hold more quantity of 6mm thick L.
