Hi again guys, been a while, got extremely busy with work and class the last few weeks.
So I feel like now is the time for me to go and get a volunteer position in one of my local firms. Is there a market for this? I basically just want to get my foot in the door you know? Network I suppose. I also feel like this will help me in reapplying for the Architecture Program next year as well as the Landscape architecture Program this winter.
SO are there any tips to make the progress smoother? Right now I'm just learning all i can about the Firms I'm interested in before I send out an email to see if they have anything like this available. Simultaneously I am attempting to buff up my portfolio just in case they ask for one?
Thoughts? _________________ busy~ |

My advice would be to telephone and, if you think there's a chance there's a vacancy, or if you're really keen to work with that practice, follow up with a letter and your CV/resume.
Definitely don't make your first point of contact an email, they're quick (and lazy) to send and equally quick to delete! |
