I have an XL spreadsheet with 6600 data points in it. I can do a scatterplot and copy and paste it into PowerCADD. I'm not much good with XL charting. Since I want to draw the vertical and horizontal axis to the same scale in my final chart, I have to stretch the output from XL. This makes the data-point objects oblong in PowerCADD. I don't like this. I don't want to manually replace 6600 ovals with circles. They are not symbols in PowerCADD so I can't do a global replace.
I'm attaching a closeup. Anybody got any suggestions? XL will only let me choose circles, squares, or diamonds, filled or unfilled.
Another thing is to, while still in XL, drag the aspect ratio of the chart to something like the final output you desire. I think you're doomed once you've converted the chart to an image.
The attachment below shows how you can use these techniques. Both of these charts had their aspect ratios adjusted in XL then copied and pasted into PowerCADD. No further changes were made except for re-sizing them in PowerCADD while constraining the aspect ratios.
