For WT Door tools (if that is what we are talking here), I have most missed:
--any sidelight capability, even just a door setting with door closed (0°) to indicate sidelight. However thresholds and mullions would only be well served by a full sidelight combination tool.
-- a way to indicate active leaf of a pair of swinging doors, such as different swing angles. (that's a drafting standard that would be good in the tool).
To set a different door swing. Edit group and rotate door leaf etc. (Just in case someone hasn't tried that). But certainly not something you want to do every time if that's something you need. That's what I do now for pair of doors to show active leaf.
-- Unless this was fixed in last version, for sliding glass doors the preview doesn't reflect threshold vs. active leaf that occurs when you use the tool.
The threshold flips but orientation of the door, in relation, is the same (in preview). Also an arrow option to show sliding side would be helpful.
--The PC door tool has a symbol option but that really isn't developed enough to be useful.
--When the wall length is exactly the door plus min. distance to wall on both sides, control the insertion at center--don't just leave the insertion floating (certain conditions there is no center snap available).
--For windows: pair and triple windows that insert as one. (At present for a pair I cut the wall line at the mullion point, set window tool distance to wall to 0" and slide in one window, then the second next to it. This is the way to make window sets with uneven widths too. Set the distance to wall to 0" and add your windows in sequentially.)

All of you are in the design business and thus we all know that the most difficult thing to achieve in any design is elegant simplicity. There's a very fine line between creating something that power users will love and which will not alienate 'normal' users. Most PC/WT users are very smart and are interested and capable of using and appreciating advanced features so I can do more advanced things than anyone at Apple would do for a typical consumer program.
I don't know what the answer is, but I have to be careful not to over-complicate a tool.
(By the way, one result of moving to Cocoa dialogs is that the files get much, much larger. It doesn't affect performance in any way, but things are now maybe 6 to 7 times bigger. It's not my fault and there's nothing I can do about it.)

Alfred,
From your past comments, we understand you are no longer developing WT in terms of changing things. It's clear you don't shy from a challenge, but perhaps you feel it's time to set WT on the track to roll as it is, with maintenance work, and certainly the upgrades that are no small matter.
Maybe you've also found the right balance of features, but I think there are many things that could be changed in PC and WT to continue in the same tradition of craftsmanship / draftsmanship, and some other things that were lost over time. (While I miss some of the tools ACAD has, I am so thankful to not have had to deal with all the complexity that comes with it.)
I think comments by experienced users of PC and other CAD software could be relevant and not necessarily asking for feature bloat. I know that nothing is coming down the line, so when I decide to say what I think would be useful, I mention technique as well.
Most of all, thanks for chiming in and for all you have done in creating this app which remains my most-used tool.
Peter

Sounds like some press secretary defending the deficit as a result of the bailouts.
Dumb jokes aside, I think I can appreciate this statement ---

| If you do end up with a slider for door angle, could it snap to 30°, 45° and 90°? (or use radio buttons to move the slider to those pre-set angles)
