I have an old HP Designjet 220 inkjet printer. To hook it up to a G5 i understand i need a jetdirect box. but how do i hook the jetdirect box to the 220? does anyone know?
I know the 220 takes a serial or parallel cable. How do you hook that to the jet direct box?
thanks,

The JetDirect box connects to an Ethernet network at one end and has a parallel port out which connects to the parallel port on the Designjet, using a "standard" parallel printer cable. _________________ Michael R. Charek

Just a thought....The Jetdirect box will cost as much as a new printer that is networkable. _________________ www.shouldbefree.net |

You should be able to get a JD 300 External for $100 or less on eBay. I have. They are a fairly current model and should work fine. I just put one on a DJ330 when I moved an office to OS X. |
