I have recently upgraded to PC6 (version 6.09) from PC2000. I am having some problems with the autoscroll function. With PC2000 I would drag an object beyond the screen, but where there was paper and the further off the page I would drag it the faster it would move. This does not seem to be the case with PC6. When I drag an object beyond the screen, but where there is paper I have to be very careful to only go to the edge of the screen and hold it verrrry carefully. It will autoscroll but slowly. If I grag an object and move it too quickly to the edge, the image will ghost out and I will have to start over. Is this a feature or can I adjust something? I am running PC 6.09, Imac 17" screen, 1.25 mgz, 1 gb ram.
thanks for any help

The new scrolling behavior is to accommodate drag-and-drop. You can turn drag-and-drop off and the scrolling behavior will be similar to PC2000.

Todd,
At the moment we have to decide whether or not Drag and Drop is enabled or disabled. I wonder if we could have the Command key temporarily toggle this option between Auto Scroll and D & D. (I don't think the CMD key is being used for anything during a drag operation but I'm not sure)
This is how the basic installation of Virtual PC behaves, IE. VPC does not 'release the mouse' from the active window unless you are pressing the CMD key as you cross the border. I think of it as a free 'get out of jail' card in this context.
If it was only a temporary toggle to the option setting, users could still set the default behavior to their liking.

Derek,
That's a good idea! It probably won't make it into a 6 revision, but I'll try to get it into 7.
