Brand new to Maya 5.0 and seem to be having difficulty with the scale manipulator handles and manipulation rings etc. Whenever i want to scale, move, rotate something (as instructed in the tutorial) the little coloured cubes on the handles are MILES away in the distance. I simply cannot manipulate them. Likewise with the manipulation rings, I just can't see them. In the tutorials the little cubes are right there next to the selected object.

you can fix it in
windows
settings/preferences
preferences
manipulators
global scale - lower it it's probably way too high, mines at 1.71 now
