Can you reply directly to a post in this forum. I.E. you want to respond to a post in the middle of a thread, like you could in the old forum.

I don't *think* you can do that.. I also have noticed that you are not allowed to edit a post that you just put in.. That's a bit annoying too..

You couldn't edit your old posts in the old forum, either.

I put in a request in another thread to correct this problem.

In other PHP forms you can edit your messages. Wink

I can edit my replies if I choose to...so I'm not quite sure where that issue is.

Reading between the lines in the "Help" tab above, I gather that the desire to be able to edit posts is being weighed against the need for a reliable archive. The default seems to be that you can edit a recent post until a certain time limit has passed, at which point it is stored intact for ever and ever. I suppose if it was a matter of correcting the record to remove factual errors or inappropriate statements, then you could contact an administrator who would be able to edit any post.

Ok.. I just posted a message a few minutes ago and realized there was a typo in the subject.. I went in to edit it and can't find a way to do that.. So, the typo remains..

I *know* that this can be enabled, because I belong to another PHPBB based forum that was setup over the weekend and it allows edits without any problem.

Can we get this enabled pleeeeesssseee!?

Thanks!
