Looking for a little help as I have never built a true brick barrel vault so I am looking for an expert mason. I have a covered entrance that I want to have as an true brick barrel vault. I am familiar with building the frame and all to support it while it is in place but how does it actually get done? Do I need to leave room above the arch so the mason works from above to set the bricks or can he work from below and slide the frame (support) to the area that needs to be worked on. Any help would be appreciated.
