I was just working on a project for my firm to design a LEED certified factory and corporate headquarters for a german company in Shenzhen-China. On a recent visit i was blown away by the extent and scale of construction and development in these parts. Clearly this part of the world is exploding with investment and infrastructure. We are starting a similar project in Chennai-India. I have never been to South Asia before and was wondering about previously executed LEED certified projects in India. Who are the consultants/architects there that have experience in environmentallly sustainable design? I learned about an ongoing project for Cethar Vessels in Tiruchirappalli http://www.cethar.com/ who are building Tamil Nadu's first Platinum rated building. The architectural firm engaged in the project is Shilpa Architects from Chennai http://www.shilpaarchitects.com/ and they seem to be one of the few design firms active in environmentally sensitive architecture. We are looking for a local architecture firm to help partner with us on this project in Chennai. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated? Thanks in advance.
