Hello everybody,

Just wnated to share a project that I (teaching environment ) at an engineering college have asked the students to do. Boys always want to be outdoors an it is difficult to supervise 80 students on a field trip, so this programme was devised so that thel could work in campus.
I broke the class into a group of 3 students each and each group had to measure a building allocated to them on the campus, from outside and locate position of rain water pipes, and also mark physical features in the surroundings. Then we would calculate amount of rain water on each roof , the runoff and just where it was going? In the fields or drains? Explore possibilities of harvesting this water- for drinking, cooking or gardening?
