| We have a new construction and added a larger garage and a bonus room above it. I am not happy with the look of the right side (garage side) of the house and think that a dormer would help. My question is how big of a dormer should we go with in the bonus room. I realize that we need to stay with the same 12/12 roof pitch. My question is how wide do we go? Our contractor is saying 7'. The expanded garage is 28' x28', but that includes a (bump out). I know the bump out is hard to see in this picture, but it is at the window and has a gable shape to it. This would be a functioning dormer in the bonus room. |
