I realize we had touched upon this in my previous post, but I wanted a better read on the situation. Those of you running a dual/multiple monitor set up, how do you use it to your best advantage?
Thank you. -MP |

I rely on 3 monitors but usually just use 2. The third one comes into play when doing fenestration scheduling and want to cross check my elevations with the plan. But usually, the drawing I'm working on stays on the primary monitor, and the second houses all of my palletes (layer, status, attributes). The only one that remains on the primary is the Edit Bar.
Last summer, I spent 3 months travelling and only drew on a 15" powerbook. That experience forced me to consolidate and I learned to rely heavily on the right-click contextual menu and the blossom pallete, the downfall was that scheduling was really difficult so I'd find a print shop somewhere and run plots and schedule by redline. |

I have a 24" primary monitor and a 23"-- which I use primarily for reference (for example a set of consultants sheets in a pdf file). For me the 24" seems big enough to include pallets with whatever I'm drawing.
In addition, I've taken to putting a small TV window on the second monitor on occasion, since I got an Elgato EyeTV Hybrid. |

In the post where I began asking about set ups, Alfred mentioned that he didn't like the 30" monitor due to the distance to menus etc. I am now sitting in front of my 30" display and have found the same issue, however, it seems to relate directly the the mouse. I just hooked up a crappy usb wireless mouse I had been using with my PowerBook, and it works great. Is there any way to play with the sensitivity of the the mighty mouse to get around the didstance issue?
Cheers,

I personally prefer the razer mice which perform above and beyond anything I've ever used.

So whatcha got? The Copperhead, DeathAdder, Diamondback or the Krait? They all look so pretty. I doubt I could choose. _________________ Tool Palette Guide

| if you like smaller mice, the diamondback is the way to go. Another guy at the office uses the Death Adder - its much larger but has a few more features. |
