Ed,
Are you asking for a new tool to dimension the length of an arc or are you just wanting to have the number displayed somewhere in the units of your choice for you to create the dimension yourself?
Derek.

A new tool of course. But I tried to ask in a way that would make it look like I thought I was doing something wrong, which is usually the case. But as usual, Alfred is on to me.
Surface dimension tool with a bend would be perfect. I think I posted this topic a few years ago and it got flicked away.
It's not something I need all the time so I'll just continue my little 'workaround'. Unless there was a big demand for it I wouldn't expect a new tool.

So how do you dimension a 270 degree arc!

I think I generally prefer the Autocad version, but I would want the arc designation to be half the height of the font and for the dimension number to be placed over the witness line, rather than above it, to further distinguish the dimensioning from the arc itself. Also, I prefer arrows to the slash.

I got most it set the way Rolando wants it, except I can't change the size arc symbol.

I too asked for an arc dimension tool. Surveys often have such information.
The only place I've seen an arc length shown is on the wildtool arc extension tool...which was partially developed to aid in redrawing surveys for site plans.
So somewhere the technology exists...inside an existing tool. Why not at least report the information on other arc/radius tools? And it does report in feet in inches.

It's called "Frank the Architect" by HaroldFonts.com:
