I need to import from PRO/E to MAX.. I'm doing it in STL format.. but it's coming up like one object. Which is the best way to import form PRO/E?
and if it STL, how can I do to make each object independent?
THANKS!!!

iges usually does the trick. or did you try stl because file size is smaller? iges is usually quite big in size but can do assemblies and keeps colours and other info. try google to see iges features. there are sites which list all the features which iges supports.
step is ok but it does tend to make things a bit poligonal. at least when i exported some things in proe. proe gives many options for iges export. usually though i leave it to surfaces rather than solid but i don't know what difference it actually makes in model quality. how big are your files. couple of megs or 200? |
