We are in search of a Structural Director to work with one of the nation’s leading architectural firms.
The Position:
This challenging and fast-paced position will require personable candidates with a strong desire to succeed. Candidates should have experience with providing professional design of new construction and renovations to existing structures; coordinating projects with contractors, departments and other agencies; administering construction contracts; and evaluating requests for changes or additional work. Candidates should have extremely strong inter-personal skills.
Structural Director Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in an engineering consulting environment.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Must be a licensed Professional Engineer.
• Must have proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadline.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors.
• Quality minded and self-motivated.
• Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment, familiar with modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment, as well as filing systems and business letter writing and competent in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.
