As you can see from the picture, we would like the front porch to extend out from the left and right sides of the door just past the first windows. Then we'd like it to extend out from the house about 13 feet. We have a wonderful lake view and are unable to sit out front and enjoy it. Can anyone please recommend a good contractor/architect that would be able to design a porch that will beautify and compliment the current look of the house? Thanks for your time. RWL Joined: 10 May 2004 Posts: 399	Posted: Tue Oct 05, 2004 6:32 am    Post subject: Don't know where you are located, but in any event contact nearest chapter of the American Institute of Architects [AIA]. Might try starting in yellow pages under Architects. Most chapters have a rotating list of architects which they can recommend for various projects. Many on the lists are even specifically residentially oriented and will serve you well.
