I am looking for a 3d software/plugin that can find and divide a free form object into the least amount of panels of same size and curvature. I am currently trying to divide a freeform building shape into outer surface panels. The problem is the cost of the mold to curve each panel.
Therefore I need to find as many panels with the same size and curvature within a certain tolerance to reduce the amount of molds.
I hope I can get help for this problem.
My field within 3d is 3d studio max and Rhino. As fare as I know these programs can’t fulfill this task and I might have to look into other programs.
