I'm trying to get solidworks to let me create a 1.25" thick grated floor with .125 gage steel walls( forgive if terms incorect) but i can't get the thing to create this for me in a square block let alone in the odd shape i need it. The only solution i can come up with is to cut out the approximately 350 slots into a solid chunk one by one. Also, i'm trying to export some of my objects to autocad 2005 format. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can do either of these two tasks?

No need to do it one by one, you can draw one and use linear pattern to do the rest of them...I think there conversion programs to do your other task.
