Hi All,
I just installed Solidworks 2001plus on a brand new XP pro machine and am having some problems. When I go to make a new sketch and start to draw, the lines just dissapear. Check all my settings and everything seems normal...Anyone else seen this? |

| It turned out to be the video card. Make sure your video card is supported by solid works. To test this go to the preferences and find the "use open GL" box (apparently this dissables the use of your video card so solid works will run slower). Checkthe box and see if solid works runs properly. If it does, you should probably look into getting a new video card. |

Colin,
Thanks for the input..
but I am not able to find preferances or the "Use open GL" in solidworks.
I found the options.. but no where in there is the use open GL
can you let me know where you found this in the menu? |

| Under tools, click on options and then under the performance section, "use Software OpenGL" is the check box all the way on the bottom. |

| I forgot to mention that you can only change it when no document is open. If you have a solidpart or drawing it will be grayed out... |
