xerox copy suffice

Postby dorothyx » Thu Mar 31, 2011 3:20 am

When colleges ask for transcripts, do they want the exact one the school gives, or would a xerox copy suffice? I only got one official transcript from my school, and since i'll be applying to about 6 colleges, should I just xerox 5 copies and send them? or do they only accept official ones (which means I need to request more transcripts)? I'm asking because the official ones are costly and i'd prefer just xeroxing the one that I have with me.

Usually a college wants the official transcripts. Probably says so in the fine print somewhere.

The costs of applying do add up.

Good luck with your process!
